Pune : In accordance with the ‘World Disability Week’ students and staff of Kamayani School & Training Workshop, Shivaji Nagar, Pune paid a visit to Punyadham Ashram on 6th December 2018. To celebrate this occasion about 300 children ranging from the ages of 8 to 35 spent an enjoyable day in the beautiful serene environs of 'Punyadham' and moved around without a care in this world.
After taking blessings of Shree Siddheshwar Mahadev & Shree Sai Baba everyone settled down for a program in the Krishna Avtaar Satsang Hall. The talented children gave heart-warming performances which brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
Maa Krishna Kashyap, Chairperson & Sadananda Shetty, President, felicitated the Principal Mrs. Ambe and Kalidas Sutape, Manager with other key staff members. The Principal expressed her deep gratitude to Maa & President Sadananda Shetty for hosting such a wonderful celebration and thanked everyone for making the day such an enjoyable & memorable one.
Sadananda Shetty in his address mentioned how fondly he remembers working with this school for more than 45 years (from its very inception) and how it has developed into one of the finest schools in Pune working with children with special needs. Maa shared her happiness for having these youngsters spend time at 'Punyadham' and said how they fill her heart with compassion and admiration. She added that these ‘Children of God’ are close to her heart and she will be very happy if they continue visiting the ashram more frequently.
Delicious lunch of Chat, Dahiwada, Pani puri, Dosas, Uttapa and fruit with ice cream/kulfi was organized by trustee Deepak Paigude. They left the ashram with goodies like flavoured Amul Milk, Chocolates, Wafers & Biscuits. These angels brought so much cheer and excitement with them and brightened the day with their laughter and smiles.
